"I have used a camera as a means to write my diary for as long as i can remember. However it was during my 3 year service in the military that i realized it had a deeper purpose- it was my way of making sense of the world..."

Ohan Maiman is an Israeli photographer based in New York. His work is inspired by time spent serving in the Israeli defense forces and often features guns. I love the interplay between whimsy and fantasy juxtaposed against the hard edge of the guns.

Apologies for the lack of posts of recent. I have been finding it hard to become either motivated or inspired of late. This is largely to do with moving countries and encountering severe difficulties finding work, boredom is never good. However, on the upside it was my birthday this week so I treated myself to a few rings and a new necklace. The rings are from Camden Markets and the necklace is from Accessorize (it is hard to see but it's an hourglass). It's amazing how just putting on a few pieces of colourful jewelery can instantly lift your mood...

This is one of the best ads I've seen in a while- It was directed by Romain Gavras. I think it's half to do with the song (Civilization by Justice) and half to do with the amazing video cuts. I am absolutely loving this collection- the pieces are a perfect mixture of the wearable and quirky but the entire collection seems to have a great feminine edge, love the structured pieces. Word is Lady Gaga annouced that she "is a Mugler woman", purchasing the whole collection!
